Chocolate fruitcake

Based on a recipe from There's Something About Christmas by Debbie Macomber, adapted for Max who does not like marachino cherries or dried pineapple. We tried it out over the weekend and Max has decided that he likes it. Yay!

2 cups dried currants or blueberries or cranberries
2 cups dried rainier cherries (from Trader Joe's)
flaked coconut
chocolate chips
sugar
flour
whole wheat flour
pecans
9 eggs
creme de cacao
