I tried out Herbal Curio's Viridis Face Mask tonight for the first time. The mask powder can be mixed with cream, milk, cider vinegar or water depending on what effect you want it to have. I used water for more balanced skin. Felt like a spa experience to me, the texture and smell of it. Especially since Max apply it for me!  :)

BEFORE
Despite the brevity of instructions, I still managed to not read them - no one reads! - and almost used a metal bowl, applied the mask too thin, unevenly and on my eye lids even though I should not have. Luckily, my eye lids are fine!

DURING
10 MINUTES LATER MY FACE FEELS SO TIGHT I CAN'T MOVE A MUSCLE!
AFTER
There was no redness afterwards and my skin feels good. And all the shininess is gone. I'm going to try it out again on Wednesday for even more collagen boosting!

Interesting that you can add different liquids for different effects. What is the benefit to adding cream or milk?

Kristina, What a great question! When you add a substance high in fats such as whole milk or cream it boosts the moisturizing effects of the mask which leave your skin feeling silky and soft without the greasiness some oils may leave behind.

Thanks Meg!
The cider vinegar works more like witch hazel, I guess?

What if you have very oily and very dry parts of the face can you use two different treatments at the same time?

Well, Apple Cider Vin and Witch Hazel are the same in that they are both astringent but the acidity of the Cider Vin combined with it's detoxifying properties is really what gives acne the ol'1-2 punch.

Oh, and to answer the double treatment question, Of course! Having an oily T-zone but drying out every where else is very common. Using a cider T-mask and a fat-rich mask over the rest of your face is a brilliant idea!
